Find your path through facing your fear.

This Joseph Campbell quote is super popular:

“If you can see your path laid out in front of you step by step, you know it’s not your path. Your own path you make with every step you take.”

Joseph Campbell

And it’s good. I like it. It’s a great reminder that you usually can’t see the next right step.

But I like this JC quote better:

“The cave you fear to enter holds the treasure you seek.”

Joseph Campbell

It really cuts to the chase and gets to the heart of soul-deep development.

Because anytime you can face internal fear, you will grow.

Not everyone is interested in embracing personal growth. I completely understand that. Sometimes it’s too painful, or messy. Or digging into painful things too hard.

I know a lot about digging into painful feelings. I want to give you the secrets that make it worth it.

Following the parts of your path that promise to be painful is transformational. Here are a few reasons why:

🤍You have insights. Insights allow you to make sense of painful things. It means difficult emotions are processing.

🤍You change your perspective. Meaning your narrative around a painful, stuck feeling has the potential to soften. Break up. Move forward.

🤍You become empowered. There is nothing more empowering than understanding yourself and how you coped with challenges. Made mistakes. Grew emotionally healthier.

🤍You learn your own needs and how to identify and communicate them.

Being willing to experience painful emotions and memories is a skill I learned in the service personal growth. But my reason at the time wasn’t to grow. It was simply to relieve the pain. I had no idea that insights were going to be a part of the process.

✨May you grow in wisdom, love, and insights!✨
