I'm a late bloomer. Years ago, before I could get down to the business of answering my soul's calling, I was busy surviving, giving away my good stuff, and trying to heal from a chronic illness. I was physically, emotionally and spiritually exhausted.
Then one agonizing night, I awoke from a nightmare when a voice inside screamed, “CHOOSE YOU!” In tears before I had fallen asleep, I begged the universe to tell me what to do, to show me how to find myself, and to guide me to an answer for the emotional anguish I’d lived with since childhood. I had lived my life for everyone else but me. I couldn’t live another day that way. The answer came so clearly, that I wondered if my guardian angel had been as frustrated as I was at all the mistakes I had made.
I awoke and finally listened.

I went to sleep in emotional turmoil, and awoke with a feeling of possibility and potential that I had never known. When I asked myself, who I was, and what I wanted, I didn’t know. I knew I wanted to find out. I took the first step. I flipped through a paper mailer from a local college and let my finger fall on a random page. Italian Language 101. I enrolled the next day.
It was the beginning of my journey of emotional healing. I planted the seed. I took the class, I quit my job, I sold my house and all my stuff. I moved to Rome, Italy. I chose me. The seeds I planted slowly, tentatively grew as I nurtured them with self-care, and personal exploration. I made mistakes and learned. I’m called to be coach, soul guide and creative mentor who wants to help you transform your relationship to yourself through personal exploration and integrated self-care, so you too awaken to your shouting spirit and share your beauty with the world.

I'm really proud of that. I became a coach because I met so many cool women who had incredible talent they weren't sharing, or had big dreams to do something meaningful but felt stuck in unsatisfying jobs. These women craved more beauty in their lives in the form of art, nature, good books, journaling, style, writing, fashion, crafting and painting. They also had something else in common. Somewhere along the way, someone had talked them out of their need for beauty. Someone had belittled it and dismissed it for them, convincing them it was unimportant and frivolous.

I consider the pursuit of beauty as a form of self-care. I believe our pursuits of the beautiful feed are soul in a way that nothing else can.
